Texas LTC Law
1) Subject to certain exceptions which we’ll review, a license to carry a firearm issued by the Department of Public Safety authorizes the licensee to carry a handgun (LTC) on or about their person either concealed, or carrie openly (subject to some restrictions).
2. It is now lawful to openly carry a handgun in the same places that allow the licensed carrying of a concealed handgun with some exceptions provided the handgun is carried in a shoulder or belt holster
3.Texas license holders can carry openly or concealed in any place not expressly prohibited by law.
4. License holders may be subject to criminal charges for carrying a handgun in plain view unless carried in a shoulder or belt holster. That means that simply tucking a handgun into your waistband without a holster is against the law (and, a very dangerous way to carry the gun).
